Security Update for webPDF 8

Security update

A security update for webPDF 8 is currently available with revision number 2193.

Core components OpenJDK (11.0.9+11) and Tomcat (9.0.39) were also updated. This brings all used libraries and dependencies to current versions.

In addition, several issues in webPDF webservices that appeared after the webPDF 8 release were fixed.

Most important fixes in revision 2193​

  • Webservices: Fixed incorrect metadata extraction for signatures
  • Webservices: Removed external SOAP 1.2 dependency from WSDL
  • Linux packages: Corrected RPM package dependencies
  • Webservice: Improved TIFF conversion without DPI information
  • Webservice: Fixed timeout error in Toolbox function "Redact"
  • Webservice: Page specification for "sanitize" annotations is no longer required
  • Installation: Corrected check for existing VC Redist installation

Additional update of Java client webpdf-wsclient​

The Java client for using webPDF webservices has been updated. Version 2.0.1 is available and supports all features of the current webPDF 8 release with revision 2193.
